What is a Teaser?
Similar to a Parlay, a teaser is a combination of 2 to 10 football or basketball wagers with the difference being that you can change the point spreads and/or totals to your favor in exchange for a lower payout.
When your teaser includes a point spread, you can decrease the spread for the favorite or, increase the spread for the underdog.
When it includes a total, you can increase the ‘under’ or decrease the ‘over’.
Like a parlay, winning the teaser needs all the wagers to win. One loss, and the whole teaser is a loss.
Placing a Teaser:
1. Log in to your Bovada account and click SPORTS at the top of the screen.
2. Select your sport from the panel. If you don't see your sport, click ‘All Sports’ to show more. By default, the page will only show open events or those that have odds available for betting.
3. Select your desired lines by clicking the boxes (up to a maximum of 10 point spreads and/or totals). Your choices are added to the Bet Slip.
On your phone, the Bet Slip can be accessed by clicking the icon at the bottom of your window. On Desktop devices, it's located to the right of the betting lines.
4. To place a Teaser bet, select the 'Multiples' Tab at the top of the Bet Slip.
You will see your combined odds for your Teaser displayed above your selections.
5. Click the ‘+’ symbol next to 'Teaser,’ and select the number of points you want to tease from the drop-down menu. The new “teased” spreads/totals are displayed for your reference on the Bet Slip.
6. Enter a risk amount in the box. Your total win amount is calculated for you. To remove a line entirely from the Bet Slip, click the 'x' next to the selection.
7. Review your choices and then click 'Place Bets' at the bottom of the Bet Slip
8. You’ll be shown your final bet details along with your wager reference number. Click 'Continue Betting' to clear the bet slip and carry on.

Regular Teaser Rules
1. Choose a minimum of 2 lines up to a maximum of 12 to place a regular football or basketball teaser.
2. All of the odds must be point spreads and/or totals.

3. A tie, called a ‘Push’ or a bet graded ‘No Action’ reduces the number of bets (teams) in a regular teaser of three or more teams. For example:
A four-team teaser with two ties reduces to a two-team teaser, and the payout is recalculated based on the reduced number of teams.
4. Two-team teasers cannot reduce. Any two-team teaser with a ‘Push’ or ‘No Action’ plus a win will be graded as ‘No Action’, and your risk amount refunded. Any two-team teaser with a loss will be graded as a ‘Loss’.
5. With the exception of ties, all wagers must win for the teaser to be considered a win. If any one of the wagers loses, the entire teaser loses. There are no partial payouts.
6. Unless otherwise stated, games not played on the date or at the location listed are graded ‘No Action’ and the teaser reduces. The payout is recalculated based on the reduced number of teams.
7. You can’t include futures, props, moneylines, first half (1H), second half (2H), and quarter lines (1Q, 2Q, 3Q, and 4Q).
8. Payouts are different based on the sport selected in the picks, and the payout for mixed sport teasers are from the payout table with the lowest value (see Regular Teaser Payouts above).

Cross-Sport Teasers
When you combine football and basketball odds in the same teaser, the number of points that you adjust the point spread and/or total by must remain in the same category. For example:
Football 6 points / Basketball 4 points
Football 6.5 points / Basketball 4.5 points
Football 7 points / Basketball 5 points
Sweetheart Teasers
A “sweetheart” teaser combines 3-12 picks for either Football and Basketball wagers. The number of points that you adjust the point spreads or totals by depends on the sport and the number of teams in the teaser.

Sweetheart Teaser Rules
1. 3 team 10 points and 4 team 13 points Sweetheart Teasers never reduce. A ‘No Action’ result in a 3 team 10 points or 4 team 13 points Sweetheart Teaser will result in the entire wager being settled as ‘No Action’, provided all remaining bets are settled as a ‘Win.’
2. A 4 team 10 points and any 5-12 Team Sweetheart Teaser will reduce and your odds will be adjusted accordingly if one of your picks results in a ‘No Action’ result . Sweetheart Teasers with multiple ‘No Action’ results may be subject to rules 1 and 2.
3. A ‘Push’ in any Sweetheart Teaser means the entire wager is settled as a ‘Loss.’
4. A ‘Loss’ in any leg of a Sweetheart Teaser means the entire wager is settled as a ‘Loss.’
5. For Cross-Sport Sweetheart Teasers, the payout is determined by the table with the lower value. For example:
If a teaser has five College bets and one NFL, then the NFL payout will be used.
